What You'll Do The Purchasing clerk will assist the Purchasing Manager with compiling order requests and generating purchase orders for the procurement of materials and services.
The clerk will also:
Perform buying duties when necessary Prepare purchase orders and send to suppliers Maintain purchasing records and files Audit orders to ensure prices are according to agreements or contracts and report any discrepancies Make purchasing decisions for spot buying of products not covered by agreements or contracts Follow all SBD purchasing policies and regulations Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries, resolve shortages, missed or late, and other problems Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status and changes Maintain clean and organized work area Abide by all SBD policies and procedures Follow all SBD safety rules and regulations Identify concerns and provide insight for continuous improvement opportunities Other related departmental duties as assigned by the Manager or designee Who You Are High School Diploma or GED Technology skills:
Microsoft Office Suite, Windows OS, iSeries, Infor Powerlink Experience in the development and processing of order requisitions Ability to provide professional customer and personal services Troubleshooting and problem solving skills Effective interpersonal and communication skills Must be self-motivated with exceptional organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently or with a group What You'll Receive You'll receive a competitive salary and a great benefits plan:
