2nd Shift - Distribution Supervisor

Responsibilities / Authority:

  • Supervise all distribution activities at the D. C. including:

  • Loading, unloading, and receiving of goods

  • Product handling and storage compliance

  • Customer order fulfillment and documents compliance

  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve errors

  • Inventory control, discrepancy reconciliation

  • Proper training of associates to ISO work instructions

  • Identify and assign re-box and rework projects

  • Coordinate schedules and staff assignments to meet the needs of the department and facility

  • Develop methods to encourage and maintain productive teamwork within the department

  • Maintain timely completion of projects through efficient delegation and follow up

  • Understand and ensure the safe operation of the conveyor, lift trucks, and other similar equipment

  • Time and attendance, and/or other related approvals using the appropriate software (e. g. Kronos, Workday)

  • Provide timely, unbiased, and effective performance evaluations for all associates in the department

  • Follow all MTD policies and procedures and quality shipping expectations

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Promote and encourage continuous improvement through rapid improvement events and 6S activities

Perform departmental tasks as assigned by the Shift Supervisor or Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 2 years prior Supervisory experience or 4 years in the department

  • Thorough understanding of MTD Willard shipping policies and procedures

  • Ability to develop, motivate, and lead a team

  • High level of organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Technology skills:Janus guns, COM, MAPICS, WM, High Jump and MS Office

  • Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to improve manufacturing experience

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
